Available Homes vs. Recent Homes

When you look at our website and want to see the homes we build, you have two choices from the menu – Available Homes and Recent Homes. Although the words “available” and “recent” are certainly clear, we wanted to further explain how we separate the homes on our site and how they are entered.

Available Homes

As the title Available Homes suggests, these are homes that are available. Most often these are completed or nearly completed homes and can be in any one of the neighborhoods we regularly build in. From time to time, we will also list some lots that we have for sale.

These homes do not represent our entire slate of homes we are working on that are for sale. These are just the handful that are at a stage that we feel we are ready to showcase. There are often other homes in various stages that we are working on, but we just have yet to get them to the stage where we are ready to market them on our website or in the MLS. If you’re looking for something specific, we encourage you to reach out, because we might have something in the works in the neighborhood you’re looking for.

The lots we list here are by no means a full accounting of the lots we own. They are there to give you a good look at some representative lots. If you’re looking to build in a specific neighborhood, give us a call and we’ll show you the lots we have available for a new custom home.

We can always build on your lot as well.

Recent Homes

Once again, the title Recent Homes, is the key to what you’ll find in this section. These are homes that we have built and sold. Some were spec homes we built, some were full custom jobs, and some were a mix of the two. These homes represent what we can do, but once again, are by no means a full accounting of every home we have ever built.

Some of these homes were built and vacant for a few days before closing so that we had an opportunity to schedule a photographer to get out there, some were homes that the owners were very proud of and asked us to come back and photograph after they had moved in. Sometimes, the crews are working on the homes and photographers schedules are booked and we just never get a chance to photograph the home. Much like the nature of custom homes, every situation is different.

We do try and get the most homes we can in there, so that you can get a feel for what it is we do. We offer them up so that you can get a taste of what is possible and also so that you can seek inspiration for when you’re in the planning stages of building a custom home with us.

We’re proud of the homes we build and so are our owners. We look forward to having a chance to welcome you in the McNair Custom Homes family.
